Default Question about propeller shaft alignment

I'm installing a new PerfermaBuilt Level 2 trans in my 04 Corvette. Page 7-357 of the service manual talks about performing a propeller shaft alignment. I removed the trans at the rear flex plate and did not remove the torque tube at the front of the car. I'm thinking that this alignment process is not needed with this method of replacing the transmission. Just wondering what opinion others might have about this.

While there are a few Vette experts here, you might want to ask this on a C5 forum.

Default Question answered

I received this answer from my friend Bill Curlee on the Corvette Forum. Thought I'd document it just in case someone else asks the same question later.

"REAR FLEX PLATE".. Were assuming that you have an A4 Trans.. If you did not disturb the front flex plate / clamp bolt in the front bell housing, you should be good to go.

If you remove the TT, you have to do the steps to make sure that clamp and the front TT spline shaft are properly seated and normalized before the clamp is finally torqued..
