Before you stone me to death. I have been searching for the last 3 days.
Vehicle is a 2008 gmc sierra lsa 6.0. The truck will be daily driven street use only. I use the truck as a truck(pulling a car trailer at times and things of that nature). Im so hard on the truck that it still has the stock 4l60e with a 3600 converter and a vette servo.
I have a few questions. I picked up a 91-93 unit that im going to rebuild for my truck. I plan on replacing all of the solenoids and harness along with clutches, steels, int sprag and any worn parts. Either doing the Jakes performance mod or a hd2 kit.
On the solenoids. Is there any reason that I can not use the 04-up pieces?
On the clutches. I take it that there are differences between 91-96 and 97-up? Im going to use borg warner high energy frictions.
Is there anything that you would suggest or advise?
Thanks in advance, Ryan
