SES P1870 and my converter doesn't seem to lock?

SES P1870 and my converter doesn't seem to lock? After installing a used PT4400 the converter feels awesome. But I never really fel that lock/rpm drop like I did with the Midwest and Vig that were in before this one.
Also, I get SES P1870 trans. component slipping everytime after I highway drive it.
How can I tell if it is or make my converter lock up?
Could altering the lock up settings with the previous converter be faulting out and not allowing the Yank to lock up?
Anybody please suggest or share a solution to this SES code.
