Default 4L60e not shifting right

My transmission is making this humming/whining sound while in first gear but shifts into second fine and makes no noise in any other gear. The car struggles to shift back into first gear like almost dies cause it goes to around 3or 400 rpm. any thoughts on what would cause this? the car threw a random misfire code the other day but that's it

The almost dying sounds like lockup may not be disengaging or converter clutch stuck, I would address the random missfire code first and then to check shift timing commands get a tuner or scanner on it, Not enough info about car and mods to say much more,

Does it make the same sound in Reverse? 1st and Reverse share a few parts such as the Low/Reverse clutch.

car has a full exhaust system and is tuned by lingenfelter and I know they changed how the transmission shifts with the tune but I don't know exactly what they did. that's all for mods and I'm pretty sure it makes the same noise in reverse and one time I gave the car some gas in drive and it wouldn't move like if I had the clutch pressed in on a manual, so that makes sense about a clutch being stuck.

that's about as much info as I can give on it

I will of course defer to PerformaBuilt (or other expert) opinion, but having the noise in 1st and Reverse and your "gave the car some gas in drive and it wouldn't move" sounds like a problem in the Low/Reverse clutch area which is sometimes binding the trans.
