Default 4L80e shift shaft pin removal

I've got my transmission almost finished. Before I put the valve body back on I want to replace the leaking shifter seal. I've located the nail shaped pin but can't seem to pull it out. I'm worried I'm going to damage it if I do it wrong, and who knows where you get another one. Can anyone tell me what they're using to pull the pin?

Is it possible to replace the seal without pulling the shaft?

I use a pair of Dykes, Grab onto the bottom of the nail & pry it out.

There is a tool to do this, I have a KD one, But this looks similar......https://www.amazon.com/Transmission-.../dp/B00DJF7J9S
