Default 4L80E missing part?

The rebuild manual (as well as the ATSG) manual show a stamped steel spring "hat" as part of the Manual 2 Brake Band Servo assembly but my unit didn't have one. Is this a difference across model years or so I need to source this part?

Thanks!

I don't remember one without a spring seat.

Thank you sir. That what I was afraid of and i wonder where I can find just that piece??? Transtar only lists the assemblies.

EDIT: It looks like my trans may have this assembly in it:

That GM part number description shows a pin length of 2.73" which is exactly what mine measures. So, I guess I'll clean up the servo, install the new seal and run it minus the stamped spring seat.
