Default 4wd tranny on 2wd truck

I'm putting a lm7 in a 2wd 69 shortbed. I have a jasper 4wd trans. I'm wondering can I bolt it up and put the driveshaft on the 4wd tailshaft (if it fits) or will fluid leak out? If not what am I to do other than convert to a 2wd tailhousing

you will need to remove the transfer case adapter and install a 2wd tail shaft housing. The rear cup plug in the case needs to be removed for the 2wd one with the lube hole as well. Need a 2wd output shaft as well.

The output shaft needs to be changed which means transmission disassemby. Youre better off finding a 2wd trans. And no the driveshaft wont bolt up.

Was just looking around. Will a 241c transfer case bolt up to the 4l60e. It came out of a 99 or 98 truck.

Prolly get more help on the trucks site. And yes if you get the shiftable case that will work. You do not want the awd denali escalade case.
