Rebuild kit 4l60E

None of the sponsors seem to be in the rebuild kit business.
Therefore I send everyone to TruTech Transmission, look for them on ebay and their website. Owner is Jeff and I suggest you talk to him and let him put a custom rebuild kit together for you; he won't try to upsell you. Lots of members here have been very happy with the kits from TruTech.
Remind Jeff to become a sponsor here.

I used Trutechtrans for my rebuild kit and it was a solid, reasonably priced kit. The only issue that came up was for my year (a '96, one of the first for the 'e' 4l60's), it didn't include the updated spring cage for the updated piston that came with the kit. No issue, really, as I just bought it off of Amazon, which is a great source for random GM parts. But I think that would be a non-issue for '98 and later 4l60e's.
And Jeff is really nice, will talk on the phone for as long as you care to listen about transmissions.
mrvedit, bbond105, and other experts, isn't a billet output shaft, in addition to a solid rebuild kit, recommended when a vehicle is approaching 600 rwhp?

Yes, I would recommend a billet output shaft, the Sonnax Smart Tech input drum and even a billet input shaft.
With all those additional costs, a 4L80E might become a better choice.
