done tryed that they wanted a vin number but i dont have one im doing a s-10 conversion. my local dealership keeps ordering the wrong one.

Where is it mounted on, what does this "switch" do, what does it look like?

It appears that you are looking for the PRNDL switch, on the s-10 it is mounted to the trans on the drivers side. But the problem you might be running into it on the LS1 4L60e the switch is actually mounted to the shifter in the console. Is that what your are talking about, which one are you looking for, the s-10 or the LS1 style switch?? If that is what you are looking for, i cant see how they keep screwing it up.
