TH400 guys with spray, what converter to get?
I will be spraying between 150-250 on my TH400, what converter should I go with. Currently have 3600 stall, but was thinking of getting a 4000 stall - or should I keep it in the 3K range?

Do you drive your car a lot? 4000 seems like a lot of converter without lockup?
I'd like to know too- I just ordered a TH400 and went with a 3200-3500 stall- now I wonder if it'll be too small (224 cam, headers, NX 150 wet, 3:73 12 bolt, 26" tire), but that what was recommended to me by two different converter mfr's. It seems the general consensus was to keep the stall lower for a n2o car than a n/a car?

A 4000 will flash to 5000-5400 depending on the manufacturer of the converter. Obviously that is something they can help you with. I have a Neal Chance 4000 stall and it flashes to 5200 on a 200 shot and a little higher yet on a 300 shot. Unfortunately I was too busy looking at the sky instead of the tach, so I couldn't tell you exactly what it flashed to.

I like my 4000 stall converter. It is pretty cool actually, even on the street. It's all personal judgement after that. Are you going to do more street driving vs strip, etc. If that's the case you may want a lower stall speed. If that's not the case and you'd like something that's reasonable yet aggressive all around, go with the larger stall.
