Default Where to buy shift soleniods?

I need to replace my 1-4 shift solenoid (i think that's the one..there's a 1-4 and a 2-3 right?)

Where can I get these? and can it be installed with the tranny still in the car or does it have to come out?

Thanks

www.bulkparts.com carries alot of tranny parts.
http://www.transmissioncenter.net/4L60E.htm is another.

They are not site sponsors or anything...so, i hopefully it is okay to list them here.

The other day i found a ebay listing with them being sold new in the package......for really good price. Do a search on 4L60 on ebay car parts. There are some people selling them there.

All you have to do is get the car in the air and drop the pan. YOu will want to replace your filter, fluid, and gasket of course while you do this. Cork gasket.....mmmmm
