Default 4l60 swap to 4l80 ????

is anyone in the know,do 4l60 tc's work in 80's , do the 80's take more hp to work.also how is the computer affected.is this a good option if your fed up with 4l60e's .

Physically the 4L80-E will need modifications to or replacement of the cooler lines and crossmember. You'll need a new yoke fitted to a shortened (7/8 to 1") driveshaft. New dipstick. Flexplate spacer or replacement.

The torque converter for the 60 will not fit. Check out a TCI Street Fighter or similar for the 4L80-E.

There is a harness adapter that can be used to plug the input speed sensor to your computer can be programmed for the 80.

thanks much,just dreamin.car end point will be 475 at the wheels so a 60e should last,i think?????

475 at the wheels. the 4l60e is ok, but with that kinda power and that TC your definately pushn the trans..
