How to remove and install 4l60e pump Hi I need to remove and install a new pump into my 4l60e. I am not sure how to get the pump out of it, Any help would be great! Thanks

There are two manuals that would be helpful to you in doing your own work on the 4L60-E.
First, ATSG General Motors TechTran Manual
Seond, ATSG THM 4L60-E Update Handbook
The first manual covers diagnosis, disassembly, rebuild, and reassembly. The update manual shows how to identify the many dozens of changes to the 4L60-E over the years. Front pumps are covered in pretty good detail in the update manual.
To remove the pump you have to pull the filter since it goes into the pump housing directly. After that it can be unbolted and removed but it fits tightly in the case. There is a tool to aid in removal.
