a4 vs. m6 from a roll
Have any of you stalled and geared a4's ever raced an m6 from a roll. If so, what are your results? I once raced an m6 when my car was stock and beat it everytime from a dead stop until about 100mph. Now that I have a 3000-3200 stall I always wonder how I would do from a roll faster than 30-70 mph against a m6. what are your experiences

you will fair better than if you had nothing done. if you get that at a lower roll i think you would have a better chance. i would say from an idle role or 10mph.
y r M6 cars so fast from a role?
everytime i drive an m6 i think "this cannot be faster then my car" i drove an m6 SS with Spec Stg3, headers, and a tune. i felt that my car pulled harder, and all i have is a TC and bolt-ons, and a cat-back.

I used to do ok from a roll before i got the stall, but now i dont even consider that they can beat me mod for mod. Its funny because people (alot of 6spd) drivers think auto cars are slower but then the stall kicks in and all i see are headlights in my rear view.

i dont do too bad with my setup but i also dont have much of a stall at all. i ran an older (i think it was an older one) viper a few months ago from a 40 roll. let's just say he was very suprised that a car that cost half as much as his was right beside him. granted i doubt that woudl happne if i had more stall but it was nice to show one of the high class guys that f-bods aren't anything to mess with

it will be hard to beat an m6 from a roll. the transmission gearing is in their favor. not saying its impossible ,just difficult. from a dead stop, its a different story.

funny when i had 2002 WS-6 M6 i beat almost every A4 ls1s from a roll and dead stop was playin catch up..but i still won by a half or one car length.... but stalled a4 is different story.... anyhow STOCK m6 vs STOCK A4 ls1s... M6 will win....if driver knew how to shift right~

in my experience, m6 dominates on the highway, any stick car for that matter, from a stop or from 30 mph or lower the a4 will take them out. I dont even try and race people on the highway, its just embarrassing. People i rip apart going down the track eat me up on the highway.

An example if the efficiency of the M6. A friend (with an M6) and I (with an A4) have all the bolt on's. I have a TSP 224R cam also and a 2800 stall converter. I can kill him out of the hole but, when he hits third gear he starts walking me down and passes me at about 110 mph. I know if I had a higher stall converter it would be harder for him to pass me but, until then I haven't got anything for him.

guys convince me to keep my a4 all of my races are from a roll. I ever hardly have any races from a stop and probally race at the track about 3 times a year. Could a m6 be more lethal from a dead stop than an a4 with the right clutch and 12-bolt rear end?

the right stall will help tremendously from a roll but i still think a similarly modded m6 will win.
A4s are at their best from a stop.after all is that why you get a stall?to be able to launch harder?
my stall did remove all my deadspots and its a mild stall compared to most ls1s.
