TransGo Shiftkit for 99Z28
What do I need to know about my transgo install? I am having it professionally installed but I dont know anything about the shiftkit itself.
I have 3.73 gears, and am installing a ST3500 stall converter with the transgo. What do I need to know about this install, should I do the transgo? I already have a predator programmer with the shift pressure set to +25%.
Is this going to hurt my tranny or help it? Would you recommend doing it? Would I be ok without it?

Stage One is about right for most setups. With a 3500 converter you might consider Stage Two. If the 1-2 shift comes out a little too crisp you can remove one of the washers from the second accumulator. Do not even think about stage three, way too harsh for a daily driver and it does shorten the life of the hard parts.
With the shift kit installed preprogram the computer back to stock line pressures. Running high line pressures on a 60 is a bad idea anyway you look at it and with the shift kit it won't be neccessary at all.

I have all 3 washers with a 3800 stall, and for a daily driver it is not too harsh. I would definitely program it back to stock though. I would go with 2 washers, and see what you think. Are you doing the install?
