ultimate street converter for a stroker/superstroker?
What would you guys recommend for a 460-500RWHP stroker/superstroker car looking for a good street converter?
F-body or vette. (stock 3.23 or 3.15 ratio)
Tranny would be completely rebuilt to handle the power.
Tires would be sticky street tires or a DRs at most (Likely in 18 inch size)
Car would be extremely torquey and have a relatively low power peak rpm (say around 6000rpm)
What would you recommend? Would a very efficient 2800 stall work well?
Car is a daily driver with AC and will run at track ~3 days a month for for 5 months of the year.
thoughts?

Do you want lockup or no lockup? I would say a 3500-400 stall would be the quickest. Go with a real tight 8 or 9" converter. They have the most torque multipication. I run a 9" non lockup hipster nitrous converter and I stall at 5100 on the t-brake and love it. Although I have a 7500 redline, I normally short shift at only 6500 and it still works great. Super streetable. Real nice and tight. Highly recommended.
