Default 4L60E computer by-pass question

undefinedundefined

Have a 1994 GMC 1/2ton 4x4 and have had 2 new transmissions (4l60e) in it in 4 months... Have had it with them and was wanting to install a TH400 that I have and KNOW that it works great... Will have to change driveshaft lengths and relocate crossmember, BUT I was wondering about the computer and speed sensor connections...???? IF I just don't hook them up, won't that mess up the computer (ie tune, etc.)...?? Is there a device to by-pass it ??
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

That's part of my question/worry... I understand the shaft spline is the same, but adapting the th400 to the existing transfer case is also a concern, BUT if the electronics is a "no-go", then I won't go any farther with my search for answers. Thanks for the reply.

first ask ,do i need a THM 400?yes if you plan to run 500FT.LBs +of torque.$$$You can adapt a 400 with a convertion kit to the tcase which has a special built output shaft, smaller diameter like the 700 and THM 350,then driveshaft length and the easiest way to make the electronics work might be to get a computer from a the same truck as yours but a manual trans.I say find a good builder for the 700 and keep the OD.A guy on here that has a 02 C3 AWD that runs 10s in the 1/4 with a 408CI and lots of No2,he is running a built THM 350 because his 4L65E wouldnt hold up.Easier convertion than the 400.Build the 700
