Default TH400, Built 4l60e, or T-56 swap....??????

I am gonna be doing a trans swap after tax time. I Have seached this and haven't found the answers Im looking for. I am either gonna do a Built 4l60e, a th400, or a t-56 swap. I am only gonna be at the track maybe 2 times a month, if that. I do wanna drive it on the interstate when I need to, maybe 2 times a week for 120 miles. I love a 6 speed (my brother has a m6 Z28) but I dunno if it would be worth the trouble to do a swap, because then I will need a 12 bolt for sure. We have a coan th400 and coan 3500 stall at home and I could get it from my dad at about half the price of a built 4l60e and converter. A built 4l60e and a new converter would be around $2300, and I know the th400 would be stronger.

I have a cam, boltons and some nitrous.....I will be going to a 150 shot wet. I would like to spray off the line....

I have 3.42 gears. I was wondering how a th400 would drive on the interstate? Would it be taching to high?

Which would you all do?

Thanks in advance....

I have a Rossler 4L60E and a YANK PT3400 in a mild turbo SS. It's a great trans for an application like yours and mine. Around 500 at the tire on the Dynojet is a well running car and a trans built to the task will survive. One guy on this site suggests that N2O is like crack... just don't get silly with the addiction...

Anyway, my trans and convertor is for sale. The combo is still in the car. I have a TH400 ready to install and I would like to sell mine. It's got 2 months and 1000 miles on it with no slicks and no track time. APE has seen and tested the car. Call Chris. I just know I'm shooting higher than this combo will support. PM if your interested. Like I said, it's in the car and can be driven anywhere for a test. I can deal...

I had a reputable sponsor's built 4L60E break on just the cam with no spray after just a couple thousand miles and two trips to the track. If you will race 2 times per month, you'll end up saving much more money if you go TH400. With a reasonable gear (3:55 or lower) you'll be fine on the highway. I drove my 3:73 geared, 26" tall tire TH400 car on the highway quite a bit but it did tach at 2800 at 55 mph. With a gear in the 3:50 range and a 28" tire you'd be at around 2500 at 55 depending on the converter.
