Default Help choosing converter

Plans are to upgrade my otherwise stock 02 lid/catback car to a AFR heads/Stealth I cam car (or some similar custom cam). Everyone says I'm stupid if I don't get a better converter as well. After the research, I am convinced, now need help choosing a verter. I will be running 275 BFG-KDW tires on the street/track. To be honest a 2.0 or sub 60' would be excellent. I want the most efficient converter money can buy. So looking for help. A sponser is going to install, and dyno tune everything at the same time. Need help choosing, my concern at the track is MPH not ET. I want the fastest MPH I can get for my money spent on this heads/cam deal. Thanks in advance.

On those street tires, I'd get the soft-hitting Yank SY3500. This converter will make it easier for you to not light up your tires when you launch and it has the highest efficiency rating of any converter available at 97%. Better hurry though. Yank has dropped them from their line due to a parts availability problem and though they can still make one for you now, they'll be gone forever in the near future. See the thread below.

I love my vig3200. It is great on the street and I love it oin the track. Look into the vigilante line form precision industries.

XTrooper, do you drive your car regularly, and if do, how do you like that converter around town?

My car is similar to Arctic Formula's and I went with the TCI SF3000 because I drive it in town everyday - not in the car yet, though.

Yep, I drive it every chance I get. It's not really loose at all with the 3.73 gears though I think it would probably feel pretty loose with taller gears.

Kind of leaning in RevGTO's direction, the TCI 3000. Any reason not to choose this as seems this will serve my needs.
