Default Lokar shifter on 4L60E???

I was looking over ebay the other day and noticed a Lokar shifter for our trannies. I think it would look cool in there with a 6 speed style upper console piece, and a shorter shaft. Do you guys think it would fit? Check out the pic.

if you cut it you wont tell much of a difference. I like the idea of cutting mine down and welding it so it's short and putting a boot on it.

youd probably be a first with that in a 4th gFbody

They offer a 6" shaft, that would be about stock when it was all mounted. But do you think it will bolt up right? With the linkages and everything?
