93 vette engine, no forward have 72 chevelle with 93 corvette engine and trans.no first second or third gear.reverse works.dropped pan,cleaned filter, refilled tranny slowly but dont know if i have enough fluid in,dipstick not showing properly,and still no first second or third

If you could be a little more throrough with the problem it might be easier to help you out. Did you drain the trans before re-installment to the Chevelle? If so how much fluid did you put in for startup? Being its 93, who did the wiring of the engine/trans? It could be 1000001 things but without further description I dont see how me or any body else could help you without shooting in the wind.

never taken out,engine and tranny put in before i bought it. engine has 79k on it,was working fine, then one night suddenly,first second and drive stopped functioning. i drained it,cleaned pan and filter,replaced fluid. good rpm drop in reverse(it is only gear working),cable to throttle loose but connected.
