Strange noise on decelleration when in low gear, grind/whine...
Ok, I know for a fact it is not my rear differential.
Here is the scenario. I roll along at a slow roll and drop it into 1st ear, or when I hit the gas in first and let off. It sounds like a noisey manual transmission.
I know, just don't do that then. But what is causing this? It just started doing it recently.
It shifts fine and acts fine otherwise. The transmission was fully rebuilt a year ago with everything and even 5 gear planets.

If it's a whining noise, pump cavitation...check the fluid level (high or low),
the filter (nothing clogging it), and the pickup-to-pump body interface (pickup still fully inserted into the pump with the rubber pump bushing in place, nothing that could cause a leak)
