Default will a 4L60E from 1994 trans am work in an LS1?

I have a 4L60E from a 1994 trans am. I have had it since 1994. I purchased it when it was almost new. I had it built by Level 10 then put only about 8,000 miles on it. It worked great. Well I think the trans on my 02 Camaro might be slipping on the 1-2 shift (not sure yet).
Will my 1994 4L60E work? Will it bolt to my LS1?

Thanks.

I think the input shaft is different so your LS1 converter will not fit. I Don't know about the electronics / wiring.

What about the bolt pattern?
Is the standard small block chevy the same as the gen III bolt pattern?

Thanks

It wont fit because of the input an output shaft , TQ , and I am sure that there r 6 or 7 more differences in the previous 4l60e but damnn I forget them .

Not all the bolt holes line up when you put a 350 or 400 on an ls1 but it works with 5 bolts. The 4L60e older model will bolt right up but isn't electronically controled, and the output and input shafts are different. Not worth the hassle to swap. Your better of freshening up your current one if you are having problems.

Advice well taken. I guess I will just sell this one and buy an LS1 spare.
I don't want the car to be down when I break a trans. I hear these 4L60e trannies break all the time under a lot of power so a spare is probably a good thing? I am making about 550 at the wheels with the N2O so it probably won't last too long stock.
