Default 4L60E Foward clutch pack

Can an extra clutch be added to the pack bringing the total to six plates by simply removing the wave plate and adding a friction plate? If this is possible can a 7th plate be added by installing .079 steeles and a slightly thinner backing plate? Inform the uninformed oh building masters of the LS1 TECH universe!!!

Do a google search for Pro Built Transmissions and look at the 4L60E section.

if it is any kind of transmission with power, i'd recommend not using the thinner plates. I used the thin plates in my car to keep 6 clutches, snapped one. The car dynos ~440 rwhp but still, now I use all thick ones but I only have 5. So far so good.
