Unhappy Best shop to take my SS A4 for service in California?

I need help guys. My car is pretty much stock. My problem is that today my car was shifting from 1st to 2nd pretty hard from a stop light and it wouldn't stop. It would push my head back pretty hard, and the rear wheels would almost chirp when it would shift. This was with me being light on the gas pedal too! I ended up parking my car for 3 hours and drove it and the problem was gone. I just want to take it to a shop around my area and was wondering which shop you guys in cali might recommend. I live in the San Fernendo area (818) code.( if that helps) I was thinking of taking my car to AAMCO for a check up, but I heard some horror stories from some people. I want a shop that knows about my type of transmission and is well recommended by LS1Tech members. Thanks for any help! My car a 1998 LS1 camaro.

If any of those don't work out, there is Mike's Transmissions in Palmdale, Ca. Just do a google search for him.
