Default How much converter run out is acceptable?

I trial fitted my converter yesterday before engine goes in, all bolted up correct, put a dial indicator on the rear snout of the converter and spun the motor over.

I had up to 0.025" run out, this doesnt sound good too me, what is acceptable and what is too high as I do not wish to wear out my trans, input shaft, converter, crack a flexplate etc.

That is Not how to check run out.
the converter must be set on a special fixture to ck. this.
what you are seeing is the flexplate it has + or - .015 at converter mounting holes to crank flange spec.
also you have the converter hanging off the engine bending the flexplate as the converter weight is not supported in the transmission front pump.
