Unhappy 4.3 Torque Conveter

I have just installed a LSxx engine in my S10. I used the 4.3 converter and transmission with new bell housing to fit the motor. I elongated the LS flexplate boltes to match the conveter mounts. The converter was engaged with the pump prior to mating the motor and trans. Converter spun freely prior to bolting to flexplate. When I put the truck in gear there was no movement, forward or reverse. I did not hear any grinding noises when i started the motor. There is no fluid flowing through the cooler lines. Trans was working perfectly prior to the swap. Anybody ideas of where to start looking?

the 4.3 converter is shorter that an LS-1 style if you used a LS1 style bellhousing the converter is not in the pump and the crank pilot is not in the crank as the 4.3 converter has a shorter pilot as well

Will I be able to use the existing TQ using pn# 12563532 spacer and bolts or will I need a special TQ. It's a 2000 4.3.
