Default A3 Shifter install

Im in the process of installing a TCS Cheetah shifter in my 99 SS. Im swapping from a M6 to a A3 and was wondering what you guys did to mount the front of the shifter? The rear is good, but the front needs some sort of bracket because the hole for the shifter is too large.

It would seem that whatever bracket I used would have to be machined because anything that I could bend up wouldnt seem to be stable enough?

Any advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Not familiar with the Cheetahs base, but. I used a 1/4" thick alum. plate, drilled to match the factory shifter holes, bolted it down, and then marked my Pro Ratchets bolt holes, drilled and countersank them. GL.
