Default Help, M6 to 4L80E

I think I am going to swap out my M6 for a 4L80E. Does anyone have a parts list with prices. Any install advice. I need all the help I can get. I want the trans computer shifted for a like stock feel when driving around town. What do I do with the clutch, brake, and gas pedals, is it an easy swap for the automatic brake and gas pedals? Do I need a retune even if I use a standalone for trans control? Can a M6 pcm control the trans?

Here is my list so far but I have no idea on what to get or who to get it from.

4L80E
Stand Alone computer for trans
Converter
Crossmember
Drive Shaft
Automatic Radiator
Trans Cooler
Dip Stick
Flexplate
Automatic center console
Automatic gas and brake pedals

Im in the same boat. I have been talking to a few people about this.

Yank sells a crossmember for 200 bucks

You can go fully manual shifts with it (wont need a computer and what i plan on doing) but I can't find a manual valve body with t-brake setup for a 4 speed.

Find a used console from a wrecked car on the board here

You could probably swap center consoles with somebody doing a manual swap.

I was unaware that you would need an automatic radiator...but you would probably want to swap the stocker out anyways to handle big hp applications such as yours.

The other stuff will take care of itself. Ebay is your friend.

The pedals are a bolt in swap.....you dont need an auto Radiator because you should be using a big stand-alone tranny cooler anyways

you are correct on most of the other items, might as well get the TCI SFI flexplate, Torque converter, tranny mount, and driveshaft.

You can make the stock computer control the 4l80, but for the guys wanting a manual VB/with Trans brake, right now the only guy that markets one is Rossler, but he will only sell it if he builds the tranny. Very expensive. Trans Go is supposed to have had one out by now, but i have been told it is behind schedule and should be released soon.

Hope that helps, the 4L80 is an awesome trans, you guys should be very happy with the results
