Default 4L60E gear ratios

yes I have a 2000 Gmc with 4.3L V6, A4 4L60E trans. I am wanting to purchase a LS1 with trans combo. I was wonder if the trans for the trucks and the fbodies have different gear ratios. I have a 3:42 rearend in the truck. What is the most common rearend in the fbodies for an A4 Trans? Thank you.

All 4L60E have the same ratio (3.06, 1.63, 1.00, .70). F-Body gear ratios for A4 LS1 would be 3.23 or 2.73.

Default 4l60e gear ratio problems -vehicle speed sensor

I exchanged my 1999 chev - silverado ext. cab transmission -4L60E for a 2005 chev-silverado ext. cab transmission and the ABS on the dash lit up stays on /and every 30 seconds or so the BRAKE warning flashes three times or so in Red to the right on dash, also the speedometer is somewhat jerking is not smooth. The 1999 tranny has a 16 bolt pattern on the pan .The 2005 tranny has a 17 bolt pattern pan. There is a gear ratio difference or something that is causing the Problem @ the VSS (vehicle speed sensor). What to do is the Question ? I was told they were the same from 1999-2008

Is the PRNDL switch on the side the same? I know at some point they switched to a different connector, but I imagine you would have had to fix that if it wasn't the same style before you got this far. 2wd or 4wd? the speed sensor on a 2wd is in the tailshaft of the trans, not sure if there were different reluctors on the output shaft though or if it was all interpreted by the pcm. the 4wd speed sensors are in the transfer case so shouldn't affect ratios at all. Check and make sure you didn't pinch any wire harnesses when you bolted the bellhousing to the truck. That could cause a lot of weird issues.
