TH400 cable modulator
since theres no source of vacuum on my turbo engine,
I used a cable actuated modulator
it starts to pull out at about 1/4 throttle and is fully extended
at full throttle
low and second are strong but high gear feels a little spongy
tci says to remove the accumulator spring beneath the valve body.
maybe a lighter one?
I'm wondering if the slushyness is related to line pressure and
how I need to adjust ...
I always ran 4-speeds so I'm still an auto-trans n00b
I'm using a TCI #241001 converter, new pump and all TCI components
forward pattern full auto

l have posted this before but, if your trans is automatic you MUST put 12 volts to the trans just back from the shifter. that is the only way your 400 knows you are at full throttle. just run a wire to the trans through a switch and check the differance.
