Question 4L60E linkage adjustments

Anyone have a good how-to on adjusting the shift linkage on a 4L60E? Trying to help my buddy get his set and I'm a manual, don't know too much about this auto. When you shift to Park it doesn't quite make it, if you reach down and just push the linkage a tiny bit it clicks into Park. Reading the Chiltons was limited somewhat, I found the adjuster with small plastic teeth, not sure if you depress it on the side or top and not sure if you have to unbbolt the mount from the tranny oil pan to do this, surely you leave it all hooked up and just adjust accordingly. Appreciate any tips or how-to urls if anyone has any.

Thanks in advance
