How to fill?
Where do I put my new tranny fluid at. i see the dipstick and thats it no filler tube. i broke my tail shaft and lost all my fluid autozone told me i need 10.75 quarts but i searched on here and you guys said 4-5 which is right?

If you have a trans temp gauge or a scan tool, get your trans up to operating temp, 165-185 degrees. Row through the gears, then check the dipstick to see where your fluid level is at. It should be in the 'HOT' hash marks on the dipstick. If it's not, add more fluid.
I belive 4-5 quarts is a general rule of thumb if you drop the pan. That's approx the amount of fluid that you would have to replace. If you lost the tailshaft, I would imagine you could probably run the trans bone dry in about 15 seconds.

Fill it through the dipstick tube - it was a PITA to get my level correct and the trans shifting right after my TC install - add slowly and use the procedure in the owners manual like stated above.
