700r4 skipping 2nd gear
I bought a 94 z28 yesterday, it's a 383 stroker with a built 700r4. On the way home the car ran beautifully except it didn't like to downshift too far when you got on it. Well last night it was driving fine when i parked it. Started it up this morning to go to class and its not shifting right. If i drive normally it wont shift out of first gear. I have to wrap it up to almost redline before it will shift, and it shift in to what i believe is 3rd.
I ran the codes and it pulled up several. I dont have them all on me right now, but they were something like this:
1-2 shift solenoid
3-2 downshift solenoid
low voltage (high temp)
pressure switch something rather
I have them all written down at home, but as I'm in class right now i dont have access to them.
Anyone know what could be doing this? It's pretty annoying having to almost redline it then let off to get it to shift. I did buy a warranty from the bank when I got the loan and it shows that the valvebody is covered, but I'd like to know if it's going to be a small part and if it's worth messing with the warranty.
