last winter I put a jegs house brand 2700-3000 stall in my car and lost 5 mph of my trap and didnt gain any in my ET. I was told the converter was made my B&M as one of their cheap converters, well I have been looking around and I want to put a different converter in my car this winter. Something that is more efficent. It is slipping way to much up top the way it is. its just a smallblock with a smaller cam 224/230@.050 with 3.73's and a 26 inch tire. The trans is just a TH350. So any idea's on stall speeds? or good converters that arent really expensive?(less than $500) Coan? TCI? Trans Specialist? Hughes?
