Vacuum modulator people!!
just installed a transgo vac modulator last night. part throttle shifts feel very sloppy... WOT and this thing feels like a whole new car. grabs good in every gear wot but at part throttle it feels like it slips into gear. I didnt replace the yellow pressure regulator spring since I already have the transgo shift kit. How does everyones feel at part throttle? this has a 3500 converter and 382 with 240/248 cam. vac line is hooked into the brake booster line.
Just dont want to burn up the tranny at part throttle.
Thanks,
Mike

We dont use the vaccum mod setup so I cant advise. I do know that the yellow spring is stiffer than stock but im not sure how it compares to the transgo ,
I will say you are smart not to drive untill you have spoken to someone with more experince in this area ,

If you have installed the trans-Go Performance Shift kit, you have the right PR spring. The shifts are supposed to be smooth at part throttle, with the shifts getting firmer with more throttle. The yellow spring is when there is no shift kit already installed. Did you grind the pin, or install it as is?

I grinded the pin to 1.405 as stated in the instructions. I have a transgo shift kit installed which would include the yellow regualtor sping. I didnt check to make for sure though since I didnt have long skinny snapring pliers. It feels really soft shifting which is probally best for the tranny. just not used to it. Feels like stock torque managment shifts.
