Default installed shift kit 1-2 problems

ok so i just had a trans go shift kit installed on a 2000 trans am with a 4l60e. and i also had the line pressure upped about 30psi by turning the torq screw. now it shifts hard and i like that but at wide open throttle the shift from 1-2 doesnt shift at 6000. it short shifts itsefl at like 5200. but the rest of the gears are fine straight up to 6000rpm. what could cause this problem? any suggestions?

thanks,

Well the first thing to determine is if its being comanded at that speed and rpm , you ae now engaging the band much faster from comand to application 800 rpm may seem like alot but in the miliseconds it passes the quicker comand to actual shift time is probably much quicker now

So probably more a tuning issue than a valve body issue?

yes you may need to compensate for the change in comand time verses actual shift time since the space has now been shortened
