So basically
I love the horshoe shifters from the 19(69)? ish camaro ss's. right now i have a 1999 z28, and my first project is to either find one (if its cheap enough) and find a way to make it fit (as far as i can eyeball it, shouldnt be too hard ) , or i know a guy who does metal work & fiberglass work, and build my own custom setup. I have always been a very huge fan of these shifters. what do you think, possible?

I don't see why it wouldn't be possible.
You'd need a shifter that has a button in the side, or on the underside, and I'm betting you'll need to build a custom center console because I don't think you have the room next to the e-brake for dual shifter poles.
Best way is to measure the width of a horse shoe shifter you have in mind and see if there is enough room in the stock console.
