Default is a turbo 350 right for me

well my 4l60 went out this weekend,i absoulty hate these dam things,i have a chance to get a rossler th350 with brake and the whole conversion kit for a excellant price.

car is a 01 Z28 with a forged 348 prc heads lsk cam,my current trans is a 4l60 with a 3800 stall and 323gears wondering how much this setup will slow me down.i currently cut low 1.5s with my current setup but i hate working on it all the dam time.

The 350 can be built very strong. However what problems have you been having with your 4l60e? What are your rwhp #'s? The 350 would be a good trans if your not worried about the overdrive. Vince

If your looking for opinions then I say do it.
The Rossler unit is a very good choice and if you can get it at a slightly used price its a steal. I picked up my Rossler TH400 this way.
I am betting with the TH350 the car will be faster not slower.
In my opinion the only downside to ditching the 60E is no overdrive, if you street drive the car alot then it will probably get to you after awhile especially with a steep gear.

The TH350 is fine if drivability is not a major concern , And as vince said the 4L60E can be built to handle some impressive HP numbers. Sorry you have had issues with yours but looking at you specs and provided this is a DD i would look at 4L60E options first

only a weekend car i dont need to drive over 70 any way to keep me out of trouble, this 4l60e had a tci clutch kit with all the good stuff, just like my other trans overdrive and drive go out first. The car made 426 to the wheels and since this is a nos motor maybe a 150 shot next year. Thanks guys for all your help.i was just scared of going slower since the 60 has a lower first gear ratio compared to the th350.
