Tranny won't shift up HELP Ive got an auto 01 ta that I just recently had tuned along with heads and a cam done at a local shop. It shifts fine during normal driving but under wide open throttle the transmission will down shift but not shift to the next higher gear at redline, it just bounces off the rev limiter. I took it back to the tuner who said I had a "soft tranny" and I needed a rebuild. So I took the car to local tranny specialist and told the guy what the tuner shop said. He laughed and said they didnt know what they were talking about and are full of ****. He plugged a computer into the port and said the tranny was fine after going for a drive he said the computer is not telling the tranny shift at redline under wot. It only tells it to after you let off the gas. So whats going on is my tuner incompentent? Or, is something wrong with the tranny.
