Default Not F-body related tranny question.

My friend is planning to make a buggy car with a small block chevy and wants to know what tranny he can use for it. The motor well be longitudinal rear mounted. I’ve heard some kit cars came with such a tranny. A link would be helpful.

With as light as a buggy is a Powerglide will work great and last a long time at a low cost and great for off road too.
it also has a shorty kit to allow for close fit in the chassis engine to rear axle if needed
