Default loose throttle

well i have a 4stall and the throttle always felt really tight, just how i like it lol, anyways lately its been really loose and it doesnt even feel like i have a stall, what could be wrong or is it just that i have to adjust the throttle cable.... if so how do i do that! thanks....

I found the clips that are used to adjust the slack in the throttle cable were loose on mine. If you don't know what I'm talking about, I'll post pics later. My description is pretty vague, mostly because I don't know the names.

Alright, here's the area I'm talking about:


Here is where the throttle cable to the throttle body is adjusted:


Here is what it looks like with the clip removed:


I found the clips on mine were barely hanging on and were not depressed to hold the cable into position. When I would step on the gas, nothing would happen for the first inch or so of pedal travel. The result being throttle response at low rpms sucked. I had my kid step on the gas while the car was off and I watched what happened.... greater than an inch of play in this section of cable alone. When you take off the clip you'll see why.

Additionally, because of the play, when WOT my throttle blade only opened 3/4 of the way and did not come close to even hitting the bumpstop.

After I adjusted the cable to where I wanted it (to take up excess slack), I pushed the clip back on and throttle response was restored.

I don't know if this is the same problem you are having but its something to look at.
