Default TH400 w/ truck crank

Just picked up a 6.0 shortblock the other day. At the time, I had forgotten about the length issues on the different cranks. I had several to choose from but I am not sure which one I chose. My next move is mating a TH400 to this engine. Read several threads with lots of confusing info. I have concluded that with the long crank I don't have to do anything and with the short crank I need the spacer. I plan on getting a Yank converter so can I just tell them what I have and then forget using a spacer?

You use a std. TH400 style converter with the long 6.0 crank and the flat 6.0 flexplate
