Question Stall converter for a 1998 z28 stock w/ 3:23's & Borla exhaust?????

Hi guys. I'm Just looking for some input on which converter I should put in my 1998 z28. Its stock with 3:23's, a Borla cat back and a K&N. I'm replacing the trany, so while it's out I was thinking about a converter. From what I hear a converter is the best mod for a automatic. I'm just confused as to which one I should buy. I may do a few more bolt on mods but nothing crazy. I'm looking for a street car with a little kick in the pants! I'm not looking to spend a lot of money. I wasn't sure if there were any well made converters for a decent price. Any help is greatly appriciated. Thanks!

You prolly only need 2800-3200. You dont have any mods or rear gears yet.

Mods in my sig with an SS4000 and I love it. I too have 3.23's. I started with a ST3500 but wanted more. It wasn't quite enough after I got used to it. With the 2.6 STR, it's plenty tight for daily city driving. I'll get 3.73's eventually, then I'll probably upgrade to a PT4400 because I still want more converter.

1. Converter
2. Headers
3. Cam

Go in this order and you'll be fine. Converter first. SS3600.
That's what I did.

The SS3600 will be a great choice.

I basically had the same stuff you do on your car when I did mine, except I had an airbox lid and small stuff like that. But I went with the Vigilante 3200-3400 and I also did a shift kit and tranny cooler at the same time. Helped my car out a lot and I love it.
