Labor cost of replacing 4l60e in 99 C5 Corvette
Would anyone know an approximate cost of labor of either replacing the entire 4L60E? This would include removing the trans and rear suspension, and then reinstalling.
Thanks.
Thanks.

i think the last one that did under warranty paid like 7hrs lbr including flushing cooler lines, i think u might look to spend $600-$1200 LBR too bad you don't live around here i'd do it for $500.00. what's wrong with the trans in there?

Thanks for responding GMTech. My vette has 550 or so hp engine. The transmission was rebuilt several years ago after loosing the 3-4 clutch pack. Back then the car had about 450 hp and I manually shifted it a lot on the street and Road America. Well, the 3-4 clutch pack failed again last fall. I will either buy a Level 4 tranny or have a local transmission shop rebuild the existing one, this time with a better clutch pack. I'm selling the car after that so budget is a concern but I also don't want to give the new owner a lemon.
