Default 92 Chev Van G20 5.7L 4L60(?)

The trans got this sound like metal scaping on metal. Pulled the pan and have what look like small roller bearings and some aluminum metal in the bottom. Have pulled the trans to replace it. How can I confirm that this is a 4L60 and not a 4L60E? It does have a cable from the accelerator linkage to the right side of the trans which I believe (being the kickdown cable) that it means it is a 4L60 and not a 4L60E.

Also, would the metal have damaged the torque converter or would a good flush of the torque converter be sufficient to reuse it??
