Default odd thing happened at the track

so when i'm at the track i usually put the car in 3rd and i have no problems, tonight though, it was bouncing off the rev. limiter going from 2-3, but the next time i went i left it in drive and it didn't do it, nor any other time since i've put it in drive, has any one experanced this?

Low or overheated fluid could cause that.
Do you have a tranny cooler and have you checked your fluid level?
