Default new converter installed...couple of questions

just put a new 2800 torque converter in my 4L60E...

I had to replace the pump during this install.
I have a couple of things going wrong and wanted to see if anybody knows this problem or if it's common. The tranny doesn't seem to like shifting to 2nd gear, it is delayed big time. I hit the rev limiter at WOT (I think it may need a little more tranny fluid, I will check in the morning) and also the speedometer is going crazy. It wont even read unless i am going 15-20 mph...and even after that it's moving all over the place the whole time.

Check wiring and grounds, The PCM is very dependant on the VSS(speedo) to determine shift points. If it isnt working the trans will act all kinds of crazy, Look for loose or damages wires/ grounds etc

It sounds like you should look into the speedo issues. This will more than likely fix your issues. On another note always make sure that your transmission has the proper fluid level in it Good luck. Vince
