To make a long story short I recently put a new motor in my car.The car is a 01 z28 the motor in for a 03 gto the motor workes fine but now the trans is not shifting right. It is full of fluid I checked it 5 times. When I drive it the car shifts strange and it doesn't feel like it's down shifting. When I take off it feels like it revs a little high before it starts to move.On the take off part it could be just me, but it is definitly not down shifting right. How could changing the motor make it not down shift.I noticed on the throttle body there looks like a spot for a kickdown cable or was that just something for the gto?

Sounds like the trans is in limp mode , Check the plug to the trans the round one on the drivers side and check all fuses, and or scan if possible

Ok I ran the codes and this is what I've got SHIFT SOLENOID A&B and TCC circuit malfunction. After driving it again if feels like it only has 3rd if I drop it to 2nd it will down shift but I have to manualy pull it down and it wont go in 1st or 4th.The people that ran the codes said that the TCC is probably the problem.

Check the wiring and plug on trans those are electrical fault codes and multiple. Also check the fuses under hood and dash .

It sounds like your trans is in limp mode due to a no power condition.

The fuses look good. Do you think the TCC circuit could be bad and cause shift solenoid AB to come back as a code? How hard is it to change TCC or shift solenoid AB if necessary? Would it be as simple as replacing the sensors or would it consist of a trans rebuild? The trans working perfectly before the previous motor went. I'm taking it to the shop tomorrow to check the plugs and wiring. Thanks for the help.
