Default building a th400 any tips?

well for my next project i am going to build a 97 camaro with ls1 370 turbo. its gonna be a track car mostly with some time on the street like going to races. my question is i am starting off with a stock th400 trans where should i start and what options will i need?

Default th400

start with a truck trans. you probably won't believe me but a good rebuild with the kick down working it should handle it. if the kick down can not be done easly use a simple switch. turn it on when you want to punch it. jk

but i found a tci unit with rev valve body and all the goodies for about 700 bux with 25 passes on it think im gonna go with that.
